Get to know us! Norfolk CASA hosts community information sessions for potential new volunteers to learn more about the organization. At these sessions, we will discuss the role and requirements of a CASA volunteer and how your advocacy helps children who are navigating the court and social service systems. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know our team.
Upcoming info session dates will be posted on our Facebook page. The Zoom meeting link may also be found there. You may also email [email protected] to have the meeting link sent directly to you. If you are unable to attend an information session but would like to get involved, please reach out to us directly with questions.
Annual Mother's Day Luncheon
Each year, Norfolk CASA hosts a luncheon at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club to kick off Mother’s Day weekend. The luncheon, which features a silent basket auction, is a time for community donors and volunteers to connect, raise funds for local foster children, and celebrate what it means to be a mother.
The luncheon is also a time to recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their role as child advocates. Two awards are given annually: the Betty Wade Coyle Lifetime Achievement in Child Advocacy Award, which recognizes exceptional child advocates in the community, and the Kerry-Beth Kirschbaum Volunteer of the Year Award, which recognizes exceptional CASA volunteers. Previous recipients of the awards can be found below.
