Get to know us! Norfolk CASA hosts community information sessions for potential new volunteers to learn more about the organization. At these sessions, we will discuss the role and requirements of a CASA volunteer and how your advocacy helps children who are navigating the court and social service systems. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know our team.
Upcoming info session dates will be posted on our Facebook page. The Zoom meeting link may also be found there. You may also email [email protected] to have the meeting link sent directly to you. If you are unable to attend an information session but would like to get involved, please reach out to us directly with questions.
Annual Mother's Day Luncheon
Each year, Norfolk CASA hosts our annual luncheon and silent auction on the Friday before Mother’s Day, as a kick-off celebration for mothers and mother-figures in our lives and in our community. Not only do we gather to celebrate mothers but to also shine a light on the community's responsibility in the care and development of our children. Yes, "it takes a village."
The luncheon is held at the Norfolk Yacht & Country Club and provides for a inspiring opportunity to connect and celebrate. It is also a time to recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their role as child advocates.
Two awards are given annually: the Betty Wade Coyle Lifetime Achievement in Child Advocacy Award, which recognizes the long and exceptional commitment of child advocates in our community, and the Kerry-Beth Kirschbaum Volunteer of the Year Award, which recognizes exceptional CASA volunteers.
