Step 2: Begin the application. The application can be accessed here or by clicking the "Application" button at the top of this page. Once you have completed the PDF, save it to your device and email it to [email protected] for review.
Step 3: Share the reference form with your references. The reference form can be accessed here or by clicking the "Reference Form" button at the top of this page. Applicants are required to have three references. All reference forms should be sent directly to Norfolk CASA from the person who is providing the reference.
After the Application
Once all components are received by our team, we will review your application. A background check will also be completed at this time. You may then be invited to an interview.
If accepted to be a volunteer, you will then complete mandatory training.
Training is held via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30 p.m. with two in-person Saturday trainings from 9-3:00 p.m. Training dates are as follows:
Summer 2026: June 9, 2026 - June 25, 2026
After an empowering month of training, you will be sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Norfolk'sJuvenile and Domestic Relations Court as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and be on your way to advocating for kids!
