CASA Christine Patterson, Esq.
Chris Patterson grew up on a farm in Bedford, Virginia, and is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech. She went on to earn her law degree from the University of Richmond before settling in Norfolk. For more than 34 years, she has traveled throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia practicing law—while also raising boys (including her husband) and a variety of dogs along the way.
On May 22, 2015, Chris was sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Since then, she has tirelessly served 17 children, donating over 1,000 hours of her time and making more than 1,500 contacts to support their best interests. Her work has included home visits, case investigations, participation in meetings and court hearings, and the submission of thorough, fact-based reports to judges. Chris is deeply grateful to the Norfolk CASA team for the opportunity to help serve the children of Hampton Roads over the past ten years. She firmly believes that every child deserves a safe, loving home.

In her spare time, she writes film reviews and edits videos—three of which have recently been showcased at various film festivals. Christina also enjoys painting figurines under the watchful, approving gaze of Kurt, her loyal Border Collie/soul companion. Sworn in as a CASA volunteer on September 23, 2014, Christina has been a tireless advocate for children in the foster system, supporting 25 children through nearly 2,000 points of contact. For over 10 years, she has been a steadfast voice for those who need to be heard the most.

Norfolk CASA celebrates the return of our
Mother's Day Luncheon & Silent Auction!
Friday, May 6, 2022
Norfolk CASA's annual luncheon honors the role of mothers in our own lives
and serves as a great reminder of the importance of family.
As we work to tell the story of children who navigate the courts due to abuse and neglect, we
also work to bear witness to the incredible journey of families who face struggles to heal, hope,
and restore stability. Understanding the critical importance of family preservation for our CASA
kids and our community, we honor the mothers, and all those who
step into the role, this day and everyday.
