Norfolk CASA celebrates the return of our

Mother's Day Luncheon & Silent Auction!

 Friday, May 6, 2022

Norfolk CASA's annual luncheon honors the role of mothers in our own lives and serves as a great reminder of the importance of family.

As we work to tell the story of children who navigate the courts due to abuse and neglect, we also work to bear witness to the incredible journey of families who face struggles to heal, hope, and restore stability. Understanding the critical importance of family preservation for our CASA kids and our community, we honor the mothers, and all those who
step into the role, this day and everyday.

The Cutshall family walked into Norfolk CASA’s life when Alex was sworn in as a CASA volunteer in 2018. The following year, Samantha joined our team when she, too, was trained and sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Soon after, Dylan and Jude burst into our lives wearing their CASA t-shirts and bright smiles, becoming our young, hopeful ambassadors of kindness. Since 2018, Alex and Sam have donated over 1, 000 hours to advocating for 17 children, while also donating hundreds of hours to training and outreach and supporting their CASA cohorts through mentorship and encouragement. As a family, they remind us of the hope and joy of service. When they are not busy with CASA, Alex can be found working for animal rights and Dylan & Jude are outside climbing trees and taking care of their chickens. Sam, having joined the CASA staff in 2020, is hopefully resting in her hammock in the backyard of their micro-farm.
